Chanukah 2020 in Islington

Chanukah, the Jewish festival of lights, is always celebrated with a bang in Islington at our annual Islington Menorah Lighting. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic this year's celebrations will need to be different. However, you can still celebrate Chanukah with the community: at home with our unique free Chanukah packs or at one of our public menorah lighting events.

Chanukah packs Celebrate Chanukah at home with our special Chanukah packs created together with our partners. Fill the eight days of Chanukah with creative activities, dreidel playing, latkes & doughnuts and the light of the menorah! Featuring activities from the Barbican Centre, Jewish Museum, Little Angel Theatre, Craft Council, Estorick Collection, ZSL London Zoo, Kew Gardens, and more. The packs are free and available to everyone. Order yours on our website.

Public menorah lightings Public menorah lighting events will take place on Thursday 10 December and Sunday 13 December at a central Islington location. There will be singing of traditional songs, live music and latkes & doughnuts. Unfortunately both events are now fully booked. Due to the COVID-19 government guidelines, numbers are strictly limited and RSVP is required. Follow the links to join the waiting list:
