Join us for a printing of the holy Tanya at Chabad Islington.
What is the Tanya?
Tanya is the primary work of Chabad Chassidic Philosophy. It was written by Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, the first Rebbe of Chabad and printed for the first time in 1796.
What is the significance of its printing?
The Baal Shem Tov, the founder of the Chassidic movement, wrote that Moshiach would come “when his wellsprings are spread throughout the world”. His wellsprings are explained and disseminated through the teachings of Chabad. Printing this work in every place where Jewish People are living is a way of us making these teachings accessible to everyone and hence doing our part in hastening the arrival of Moshiach and the spreading of peace, holiness and goodness throughout the world.
How can I get involved?
