About the event
Celebrate the first night of Chanukah, the Jewish festival of lights, with the entire Islington community at this annual free event.
A brand new Chanukiah, a nine-branched Chinese Lantern Art Menorah, will be specially created this year by the Jewish community of Islington during collaborative workshops with local artists. So come and witness the ceremony of unveiling and lighting this very special Menorah, listen to live klezmer music on Grand Piano, sing traditional songs, play dreidel, dance to the hottest Jewish tunes, make your own candles with the Jewish Museum and marvel at spectacular light performances.
And last but not least: there will be hundreds of free latkes, doughnuts, Chanukah gelt and hot cocoa for everyone to tuck into!
Visit our Chanukah page and take part in our free raffle!
