Yair Meshoulam will be showing some old and new work around the theme of 'Emanantions'.
In a belief system of the Universe where God is Everything and Nothing, things are connected and the presence of God emanates through those connections.
The large painting 'The Ten Lights' lays out the Jewish Mystic Kabbalistic diagram of the Tree of Life with the Ten interconnected Aspects/Sephirot, and three seperate paintings of three of these aspects: 'Wisdom', 'Understaning' and 'The Crown'. Alongside these are a set of collage paintings of the sensations embedded into woodgrain, as well as some recent painted sculptures exploring further examples of Emanation.
Yair Meshoulam is a maker of beautiful and extraordinary paintings, painted sculptures and installations. Born in Haifa in 1963, he has lived in London since 1966. He studied at The Royal College of Art (MA Painting 1986-88), and at The Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art…
